The electronic glass break sensor recognizes the sounds of breaking glass and triggers the alarm. Contact Switches: Contact switches are a common way to protect doors and windows. The switches come in a variety of sizes and colors and can be easily mounted to your specifications. Closed
Circuit Television: CCTV cameras provide the ultimate in property
protection. Intercity can design and install a system for any need.
In
many cases a well designed CCTV system can do the work of a large guarding
force, leaving people free to deal with situations that arise in a more
efficient and cost-effective way. City Alarm will design, install and
maintain a system that is tailored to the specific requirements City
Alarm has established an enviable reputation in the rapidly expanding
and highly technical area of remote monitoring. We can provide complete
site management systems, including control of personnel and vehicles
both to and from the site.
Remote Monitoring
A remotely monitored system comes into its own with the ability to protect the exterior of your premises. For example, a remote audio warning from our Alarm Response Centre can deter criminal activity and give the impression that the site is actually manned. Visual verification by one of our personnel will guarantee a police response if needed. In most cases City Alarm can actually prevent physical damage to a site or property as well as the crime itself. Potential intruders are detected and verbally warned that they are being observed. What's more, their activity is being recorded from the moment they enter the site. Remote CCTV monitoring has shown itself to be the most economic and effective way of securing your property and premises.
Panic/Emergency Buttons: Panic/Emergency buttons allow employees to easily and discreetly signal a silent alarm alerting all necessary contacts. Card
Access: Doors can be controlled by means of either a digital code
pad or a swipe Bankers type credit card, this information can be filtered
by computer (which allows for the provision of separate voiding of users
cards) or simply used to unlatch doors which can be held in the closed
position by electronically controlled locks or magnetic locks.
For
business owners, property managers, plant executives…virtually anyone
who is in charge of facility access, the problem of "Who gets a
key?" is one that is ongoing. If an employee is terminated, do
the locks have to be changed? How can access to critical plant areas
be controlled after certain hours? Is there anyway to know who enters
and exits a building? The term access control covers a broad range of products and applications. Unlike traditional mechanical keying systems, an electronic access control management system allows you to control access through doors by time and date, and even lets you review who went through the door and when. In addition to managing to whom access is granted, most access systems can generate reports regarding system activity. Systems typically include an electronic locking mechanism which replaces the existing door strike. Electronic controllers are then installed to communicate with specified doors and respond to signals received from special "readers". Persons wishing to gain entry to restricted areas are required to present a card or and electronic key to the reader. Some readers will even accept biometric data such as a fingerprint. First, the reader scans the card or electric key. The information is then passed to a computer which records the identification of the user and based on the parameters established for the user, determines whether or not to allow entry. If entry is permitted, the controller allows current to flow to the electronic strike and the door is opened. Today’s access control systems are versatile and flexible and can be designed to benefit businesses of all sizes.
