alarm customers that are on contract with another alarm
company and when the contract comes up for renewal, rarely
do the get a reminder. Some do get reminders, but the alarm
company counts on the customer either forgetting or submitting
to paying the high rate they initially signed up for. If
you read your contact, it generally has a clause in it that
states "The customer can cancel their contract within
60 days of expiry of contact", but read further, if
you don't cancel within that allotted time, the contract
can roll over for the same rate and same amount of time
in years of course. In simple English, if you don't cancel
the contract and you initially sign up for say 3 years and
$25.00 a month, you'll be stuck to pay for another 3 years
at $25.00 a month.
